Join Our Team as a Junior Financial Analyst in Cambridge, Ontario!

Are you ready to launch your career in finance with a dynamic and innovative team? We're seeking a motivated Junior Financial Analyst to join our Finance & Accounting team at our Cambridge facility. As a Junior Financial Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in recording company transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Reporting to the Financial Accounting & Reporting Manager, you'll collaborate closely with other team members to support our financial operations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Review daily bank transactions, ensuring all transactions are recorded, including preparing entries as needed.

  • Apply cash received to outstanding accounts receivable, including communicating with the business unit to resolve discrepancies.

  • Responsible for vendor set-up, including verification of critical vendor information.

  • Prepare standard and recurring month end journal entries and assist in month-end processes for multiple entities and systems.

  • Reconcile financial information across multiple systems, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

  • Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations with precision.

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in intercompany accounts with other business units

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in business with a major in accounting.

  • Working towards professional designation (e.g., CPA).

  • Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel with strong computer skills.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of SAP is considered a benefit.

The base salary range for this position in [[Ontario]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[59,000]] and $[[86,000]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
