BWXT is currently seeking a Infrastructure Development & Execution Manager for its Lynchburg, VA – BWXT Innovation Campus (BIC) location!

BWXT’s Advanced Technology (AT) group designs and develops innovative new nuclear reactors, medical radioisotope production systems, and develops data science and advanced manufacturing techniques for leading-edge applications.

This position is with the Advanced Technologies (AT) group in Lynchburg, VA and located at the BWXT Innovation Campus (BIC). This position is eligible for relocation benefits if applicable.

Job Description / Duties

  • Provides the interface between technical leadership, organizational leadership, and other business staff to develop objectives, manage priorities, and drive alignment between all stakeholders for any infrastructure needs.

  • Responsible and accountable for budget, schedule, and contract adherence for all infrastructure development and/or improvements as well as new facilities or capabilities.

  • Develops budget and schedule inputs in support of Capital improvements, contracted Programs, and proposals.

  • Provides consistent collaboration and interface with other divisions to manage infrastructure needs in support of the execution of AT Programs.

  • Develops and maintains action items lists, risk registers, and other tools required to successfully execute infrastructure improvements.

  • Establish priorities for evaluation of infrastructure improvements while interfacing with AT and other internal and external stakeholders.

  • Assists AT leadership in developing infrastructure improvement plans and strategies to support the continued growth of the business.

  • Sets direction and execution strategies for multiple infrastructure efforts working with and involving multi-discipline teams based on scope required.

Job Qualifications / Requirements:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. An Engineering is preferred.

  • Must have a minimum of 15 years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory / leadership experience in related field or related industry.

  • Must possess a diverse skill set in Program Management and Engineering with the demonstrated ability to achieve results while maintaining budget and schedule commitments.

  • Possess an understanding of facility construction/equipment installation and the ability to demonstrate technical acumen in a leadership position to direct and guide various teams in execution.

  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with all levels of the organization to understand the scope, and subsequent required actions for execution, of each infrastructure request.

  • Demonstrated experience in the execution of large facility construction contracts with external suppliers.

  • Experience with process and procedural development required to create technical packages for infrastructure scope as well as developing organizational structure for execution.

  • Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) or Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance, whichever is required.

Pay: $[[custsalaryMin]] - $[[custsalaryMax]]

The base salary range for this position in [[stateProvince]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[custsalaryMin]] and $[[custsalaryMax]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
