BWXT is seeking a Calibration Technician to join our Quality team!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitors gauge calibration schedules for the site and performs calibration of gauges as scheduled and specified.

  • Works with shop supervision to coordinate gauge calibrations.

  • Maintains gauge records and gauge utilization through the gauge check out system.

  • Performs gauge recall, when appropriate.

  • Monitor gauge usage and ensure gauges are available for use when needed.

  • Works with procurement on requests to purchase new and/or replacement gauges when necessary, as well as the coordination of vendor services for specified calibrations.

  • Researches new tools and gauges as requested.

Job qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent with 4 years of work experience in a quality-driven manufacturing environment is required.

  • The ability to pass and maintain visual, dimensional, and NDE qualifications; along with alloy identify qualification is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate; contribute to technical teams; work independently; and accurately document and maintain records is required.

  • Prior quality experience working with and calibrating gauges is highly preferred.

  • US citizenship with no dual citizenship is required.

The base salary range for this position in [[stateProvince]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[custsalaryMin]] and $[[custsalaryMax]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
